Authentic Mexican jumping beans are found only in the remote mountains of Mexico, where they are known as a "brincador" or "hopper". Jumping beans are harvested after falling to the ground from small trees (sebastiania pavoniana). It is during this time when rural farmers will collect them from the ground, quickly, before the monsoon rains wash them away! We are committed to importing only sustainable quantities, collected by hand - with minimal environmental impact; while providing much needed income for farmers.

Our jumping beans are carefully sorted and legally imported - they are completely harmless - and inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Amazing Beans has been importing Mexican jumping beans since 2006. We are not a reseller. Our jumping beans are responsibly imported and cared for - which enables us to provide the most active jumping beans possible. Guaranteed.

  • Jumping beans can remain active for several months.

  • They become more active in warmer temperatures and when exposed to light.

  • Easy to care for - just soak in some water every few weeks.

  • Includes educational game to have jumping bean races - learn what makes a Mexican jumping bean jump!

Mexican jumping beans are safe, fun, and educational. They are harmless if eaten by a person, cat, or dog - but they probably will not taste very good:)
